Prestige Paving is a concrete and paving specialist in Te Puke, in New Zealand’s Bay of Plenty, with decades of experience.

The challenge

Bernice Burns of Prestige Paving reached Leighton Smith through Instagram on a mutual friend’s recommendation. The site had not been touched in several years and needed a refresh, and the owners wanted to hand the upkeep to a quality webmaster. Being 16 hours apart was no problem thanks to WhatsApp, email and Zoom.

What we built

• Ownership first. We transferred the domain and hosting away from the old webmaster so the owners control both.
• A page-by-page refresh: a new color scheme, a cleaner header and footer, an eye-catching homepage hero and company logos.
• Fresh proof: updated testimonials with more recent reviews, and a Projects page rebuilt from hundreds of new photos the owners shared through Dropbox.
• Tighter security for the WordPress setup, including Google reCAPTCHA to stop contact form spam.
