Why back up your website?
Once a website is live, it’s supposed to be safe; after all, web hosts boast about their security. But what happens when a website on their server is insecurely coded? If a site is full of vulnerabilities, the hacker’s job is much easier. WordPress, the most popular website platform in the world, needs to be hardened and kept updated to defend against hackers and malware.
Even secure websites must be backed up in case of emergency. The server could crash. A denial-of-service (DoS) attack could hit the site. A plugin update could break a page, or someone could accidentally delete content. Whatever happens, a complete backup of all website files and the database makes it quick and easy to restore the site to its original state.
Is my WordPress site secure?

Is my site backed up?
