Frame the Alphabet created custom, personalized framed art from one-of-a-kind objects found in nature, all made in East Tennessee: framed names, signature boards and gallery blocks.
The challenge
Frame the Alphabet switched to Pioneer Media after an unsatisfying experience with its previous host. Leighton cleaned up the problems left behind and put safeguards in place to prevent future issues.
What we built
- A drag-and-drop designer. Customers dragged letters onto a blank canvas to create their own letter art, powered by jQuery.
- Secure checkout with SSL encryption and payments taken right on the site (why SSL matters).
- A custom admin panel for managing orders and promo codes, backed by a MySQL database.
- Customer pages for product feedback and order status, plus a mobile web app for phone visitors.
- Speed under pressure. The site handled more than 20,000 visits on its busiest days.
- Fast changes. Requests were often done within one to three hours, and our recommendations helped boost sales.
